A House of Cards

Just for fun...

It seems like I haven't created anything just for fun in a while. I had a lot of projects due before the holidays and then we went out of town, so there was just no time. Well recently I finally got a chance just to play with some of my scrap goodies, and I had a great time doing it. Here is the end result:

This fun, little card I made using the Night Light Collection by October Afternoon. I LOVE all of colors and adorable little monsters in this line. (Really and truly, I love everything they put out though. :) )

Here is another little ditty that I made a couple of nights ago. I had a lot of fun with the stitching on this one. Seems like I have been doing a lot of hand stitching lately and forgetting about my poor little sewing machine, so it was fun switching it up a little.

Just to let you know, it's a new year and that means a new sketches and a new design team over at the Sketch This blog. Make sure to come by and check out the new sketch this week. Here is my take on it:

We love it when people play along, so make sure to link your creation over at the blog if you do.

OK... before you start saying "Why is she using that green viney paper so much?", I will just let you know I was playing with my December kit from Label Tulip when I was making the last two cards and I just was loving the paper. They put together some really awesome kits. So if you are looking for a new kit club, make sure to check them out. :)

Well, that's it for me today. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for stopping by!

OOO! OOO! OOO! I've been doing Melissa Phillip's challenges this week and am so excited to get to use one of your designs for inspiration. I pretty much do that anyways but now I have an excuse. When I look at a new CARDS mag, I first check the index and look at all of your cards first. I love them all. I know I'm goofy but I seem to love your style. You're cards are amazing.

Love the idea of stitching the ribbon to the card....saves wasting a whole section of ribbon that normally runs under a card or layer. Will have to remember this! Cute cards!
