A House of Cards

Just for fun...

It seems like I haven't created anything just for fun in a while. I had a lot of projects due before the holidays and then we went out of town, so there was just no time. Well recently I finally got a chance just to play with some of my scrap goodies, and I had a great time doing it. Here is the end result:

This fun, little card I made using the Night Light Collection by October Afternoon. I LOVE all of colors and adorable little monsters in this line. (Really and truly, I love everything they put out though. :) )

Here is another little ditty that I made a couple of nights ago. I had a lot of fun with the stitching on this one. Seems like I have been doing a lot of hand stitching lately and forgetting about my poor little sewing machine, so it was fun switching it up a little.

Just to let you know, it's a new year and that means a new sketches and a new design team over at the Sketch This blog. Make sure to come by and check out the new sketch this week. Here is my take on it:

We love it when people play along, so make sure to link your creation over at the blog if you do.

OK... before you start saying "Why is she using that green viney paper so much?", I will just let you know I was playing with my December kit from Label Tulip when I was making the last two cards and I just was loving the paper. They put together some really awesome kits. So if you are looking for a new kit club, make sure to check them out. :)

Well, that's it for me today. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry I am late getting back here...

my mother-in-law spent the day and night with us yesterday, and I didn't get a chance to get on my computer much.

So, I wrote down all of the names on a piece of paper and played eeny meeny miney moe. The lucky winner of some fun Creative Cafe goodies is...

Sarah Mullanix

So I will leave you all with a Creative Cafe project I made using one of the new Owl dies and Scallop Border dies by AccuCut.

CHA is getting close...

so you know what that means! Lots of sneaks and peeks. The Creative Cafe design team has been hard at work creating, so make sure to check out the Creative Cafe blog. We are having a blog party to show off the new products and having giveaways all week long. :)

Also, I have some Creative Cafe products to give away too. Make sure to leave me a comment, and I will randomly select one lucky person at the end of the week to receive a fun, little goodie box filled with Creative Cafe products. Woohoo!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year...

a little bit late. :) Hope you all are off to a good start. We went to Pennsylvania for Christmas (that is where I am from) and had a wonderful time. They had 8-10" of snow the day before we arrived, so the kids were in heaven. Santa was very good to me, and I received a new lens for my camera. I got a few nice pictures with it too. Here are a few I took of the kids playing in the snow and one of my mom's house.

Well, I haven't done a lot of crafting in the last month (and to be truthful, it was kind of nice to have the break), so I don't have a lot of new things to share. I do have a card/envelope set that I made for Provo Craft for Valentine's Day though. I guess since the stores are already putting out their Valentine things, it is safe to share. ;)

For the card and envelope, heart icon, and sentiment, I used the Wild Card cartridge. If you don't have this one, I highly recomment it. There are tons of fun images on it, and it is great for cardmaking and more.
I guess that is it for today. I need to quit procrastinating and get work on some projects. Thanks so much for stopping by!
