A House of Cards

Some fun with ribbon...

Hey all!  Today was my day on the Pink Paislee blog, and I decided to do a tutorial on how to make fabric panels with ribbon.  I used the new Mistables Scallop Ribbon and Pleated Ribbon strips to create a fabric background on some cards.

Here is what I came up with:

For this card, I mixed the muslin scallop ribbon and pleated ribbon strips along with some machine and hand stitching to create a fun back drop for my embellishments and sentiment.

For this card, I kept it simple and machine stitched together three muslin pleated ribbon strips, and then I sewed the panel onto the card front.

The natural look of the Mistables ribbon along with the twine and soft colors definitely gives the cards a homespun feel.

You can see the tutorial on making the ribbon panels here, along with a list of the Pink Paislee supplies that I used.

That is it for me tonight.  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
