OA Scraplift challenge

Hey everyone!  Monday was challenge day on the OA blog, it was my turn to present the challenge.  I think that the girls on the OA DT are some of the best out there, and I just love the gorgeous work they do.  I thought it would be fun to do a Design Team Scraplift Challenge.

I had a really hard time choosing who to "scraplift", but a layout by Marcy Penner won out in the end.  She created a beautiful layout for a tutorial featuring a chevron background.  You can see the original post HERE.  I have had those chevrons in the back of my mind for quite some time, and I knew this would be the perfect time to try making some chevrons of my own.

This is what I came up with:

I created this card using a mix of papers and embellishments from the Farmhouse collection.  I just love the blues in this collection!

I cut strips from the patterned paper and layed them out in a chevron pattern.  I completed the look with some machine stitching.  (My projects just don't seem finished without some sort of stitching.  LOL)

I created the flowers from Flower Sack die-cuts, Label Stickers, a Button, and some Sidewalks ribbon.  I finished it off with a Farmhouse chipboard bluebird and Washi Tape sentiment from the Cakewalk collection.

You can see my original post on the OA blog along with layout by Marcy and the layout it was inspired by HERE.

Well, that is all for me tonight.  I will see you all again soon.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
