Use a Pocket Page in an Unusual Way

Hey everyone! Vivian Masket has a fun challenge up on the October Afternoon blog today: Use a Pocket Page in an Unusual Way. I played along with her challenge and created these fun Valentine Flags:

I cut up the pocket page with 2x2 pockets and used the pockets on the left edge with the binder holes to create little flags. I decorated the pockets using Daily Flash—in particular the Apple Cider, Milk Money, and Eggnog collections.

The would be perfect to attach to Pixy Stix candy for a fun little Valentine's treat.

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you enjoyed the project. Thanks so much for stopping by!

October Afternoon Challenge

Happy New Year! Long time, no see. I figured it was time to pay a visit to my sadly neglected blog. It has been way too long.

Today, I have a challenge up over on the October Afternoon blog—use one (or more) of your seasonal collections to create a non-seasonal project.

October Afternoon has many wonderful B sides and embellishments in their collections that work well for any type of project, whether the collection has a theme or not. I decided to create a card for this challenge using the Christmas-themed Silent Night collection and here it is:

I just love the colors in this collection and they work well for so many types of projects, love being one of them.

Hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
