Hey everyone! Just stopping by to share a project I did for the October Afternoon blog. October Afternoon and May Arts have teamed up this week, and so all the projects on the OA blog are adorned with beautiful ribbon.
I have had a little embroidery hoop in my stash, and I have been wondering what to do with it. When I found out that we were going to showcasing ribbon this week, a little light bulb went off in my head: ribbon as a canvas.
I cut strips a bit longer than the hoop and stitched them together to create the background for my little scene. I then created the little house from papers from Farmhouse, Boarding Pass, and Thrift Shop and added chipboard embellishments from Boarding Pass and 5 & Dime. For the heart, I adhered some ribbon to a scrap piece of paper and hand-cut the heart. All in all, a pretty easy project.
And just so you know, October Afternoon is having an awesome giveaway of the entire Boarding Pass collection along with 5 yard each of five coordinating May Arts Ribbons. Just head on over to the OA blog HERE, and leave a comment for a chance to win. But you have to head over there ASAP because they will be announcing the winner tomorrow, Aug. 5th!
Good Luck to you all!
Hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks so much for stopping by!
