Happy Friday!

I am going to try and enjoy my last kid-free Friday for quite a while. The last day of school for my kids is next Thursday, so that means no more quiet days for me. I enjoy my quiet time, but I am looking forward to them being home for the summer too. I just need to get some things planned, so that they are not too bored. Better start working on that! ;)

In case you haven't heard, Janelle over at Sketch This blog posted her 50th sketch this week. Woohoo! Yay Janelle! To celebrate, she is giving away a few prizes for participating in this week's sketch. Make sure to head over there and join in on the fun. If your going to be creating this weekend anyway, might as well use the sketch for a chance to win a prize, huh?!

Here is my take on sketch #50.

I don't make baby cards too often, but it is nice to have one around just in case. These My Mind's Eye papers are just PERFECT for one too.

Also, I told you in my last post I was going to post my mini album I made using Pink Paislee goodies. So here it is.

This album is by Magistical Memories. It is called Fancy Frame Layered Book. Magistical Memories has lots of fun, shaped albums in chipboard and acrylic. You should definitely check them out.

I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate you coming by and leaving me such sweet comments. So, because you are all so sweet, how about I send out a RAK? Just leave a comment here by Monday, May 19th, at 12am CST, and I will randomly choose a winner on Tuesday and send out something fun. Sound good? :)

I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

I got the Pink Slip!

I was recently contacted by Rebecca from Pink Paislee and asked to be the guest designer for May. Of course I said YES!!! I just love all of these beautiful products, and they were so fun and easy to use. The first two projects use items from the Office Lingo Collection and some of their clear stamps. A fun little thank you card and a layout (yes, a layout!). This collection has my absolute favorite color combos. Can't get enough of it!
The next two use items from the Spring Fling Collection. Just a simple card and monogram notecard holder. Don't you just love the die-cut patterned paper?! It is awesome!

I have another project (a mini album) using the Office Lingo Collection to share, but I will post that later this week so I don't overload you all. Hope you all have a fantastic week. Thanks for stopping by!

TGIF!

I am so glad it's Friday. The kids will be home from school any minute. David will be home not too long after. I do like my quiet days home during the week, but I really look forward to when we are all home on the weekends. This weekend is a big soccer weekend. The kids have a game tonight and a game in the morning. That will be it for the season. We may also go see a professional womens' soccer match tomorrow night between the US and Australia. I have never been, so it should be fun.

Here are a couple of cards from the past two weeks that I made for the Sketch This blog (#47 and #48). The sketches works for both layouts and cards, and there are tons of wonderful examples by the Sketch This team. You should all come over and play. We would love to see what you do with them.

That is it for me. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm back again today...

and pretty tired. I got up a few times last night and ended up sleeping on the couch. No, I am not on the outs with my husband. I had a sick baby... furbaby, that is. My poor boy was throwing up all night. Not fun. A sick great dane is nothing like a sick chihuahua. They make a WAY bigger mess. Oh, the joys of owning a large breed! I really wouldn't change a thing though. I love my big dogs.

Speaking of dogs, a new friend of mine, Nina, sent me a couple of stamps that she designed for October Stamps. You should definitely go check out her blog. She has such a fun and colorful style. She makes the cutest cards. Anyway, she went out of her way to send me one in particular that she designed that I just loved (Thanks Nina!)... a little puppy holding a flower in its mouth (Bengt med blomma). I just LOVE this stamp. It is just too cute! I got a chance to play with it yesterday, and this is what I came up with.

I am not much of a stamper, so about all I know how to do is stamp on different colored papers and paper piece. But I really did enjoy making this. Some day I will try and work on my stamping skills. ;)

I modeled this puppy after my own (see the beginning of this post). His name is Razzy, and he is such a sweetheart. These pictures are a few years old, but he still looks pretty much the same.

Well, that is all for me today. I want to thank you all for stopping by. I really appreciate your sweet comments. Have a great day! Hugs!

Well...

it's been a while. (I say that a lot, don't I?) I thought I was going to make it back the day after my last post, but I didn't. I did have sort of a good reason though. It was David's and my wedding anniversary. We hit the 15 year mark. Amazing, isn't it? I guess I picked a good one. ;) We took a trip to Atlanta (with the kids). Not very romantic, but we had a great time as a family. We went to the Georgia Aquarium and the Coca Cola Museum, had some really good food, and stopped at IKEA on the way home. We spent way too much money for a short weekend, but you only live once, right? ;)

I guess I can share my March Self-Addressed projects with you. It is way past then. For some reason, they haven't gone up on the site yet. Technical difficulties, I guess.

This kit is so pretty. I love the colors and patterns. I hope you do too. I am not normally a "yellow" kinda person, but I really am starting to like using it more and more. Seems like there are quite a few lines with yellows lately.

That's it for me today. I hope you are all having a great week so far. Thanks for stopping by!

Yesterday was...

a good mail day. I received my copies of Paper Crafts: Gifts from the Heart Special Issue. So many wonderful projects in there! I was lucky enough to have three of mine included. Here is one that I made:

It is a monogram lunchbox that I made for my daughter. Everything (but the paint) is by Provo Craft. This was very quick and easy to make, and my daughter just loves it. She is glad to have it back. ;)

Well, that's it for me. I will probably be back tomorrow, so have a great day!
