A little kit goodness tonight...

I told you all I would be back soon. ;) Did you all have a good 4th of July? We did. We went to a friends house to cook out and watch fireworks. Then we just hung out around the house all day Sunday. Gotta love that!

So onto the fun stuff... This month I am the guest designer over at Work In Progress kits. (Thanks so much, Trish!) The July kit was PACKED with tons of yummy scrappy goodness, along with the July Add-On kit. Wish I had had more time because I know I could have gotten a bunch more projects done with my leftovers. I did get a couple of layouts, some cards, a tag, and a little mini album done to share with you. Hope you like!

Make sure to check out the WIP design team gallery and the WIP blog for more gorgeous projects using this kit. You won't be disappointed!
Well... that's it for me tonight. Hope you all have a great week, and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

happy family

Hello... Long time, no see. Just thought I would pop on and share a little mini album I made for Pink Paislee today. I am not much of a journaler, so I decided to just keep it simple and add pictures and names. That made it really quick and easy, and I still have a little record of us for 2009.

Well, that is it for me today. Like the mini, I will make my post quick and easy. I will be back soon because I have more to share. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

A few things to share

I have a few thing to share tonight. I should have done this earlier in the week, but I got side-tracked. (It was my birthday yesterday. The big 39! Eeeeek!)

It was my turn to post on the Pink Paislee blog this week for Trendy Thursday. You can see the post here. I'm not sure if I am necessarily a "trendy" scrapper. I guess if I like a trend I will go with it, but if it is not my style I stay away. For my trend, I chose hand stitching. Not really new, but still pretty popular. I love this technique and I love seeing other people use it too. I chose to use the stitching as an accent to the flowers in this little bucket. Not too much, but just enough to add some color and texture.

My next project I also did for Pink Paislee. A little card and gift bag for Father's Day. If you are still looking for the perfect packaging to put that gift for dad in, you can find the detailed instructions on how to make the set here at the Pink Paislee website in the Pink Projects section.

Next is my take on this week's sketch (#88) over at the Sketch This blog. I had lots of fun with this one, using fun colors and embellishments. Make sure to check out what the rest of the design team did with the sketch. You won't be disappointed! :)

Lastly, I just wanted to share a little toot. That's my card on the June cover of Cards magazine! :) So exciting to see it on the internet... can't wait to see it in person!

Well, that is it for me tonight. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get to spend it with the special dads/husbands/brothers/etc. in your lives. Thanks for stopping by!

It's starting to get really warm here...

If we are not hanging out at the pool during the day or catching fireflies in the evening, we have been spending our time indoors. That has given me a little extra time to play with my scrappy supplies, resulting in more cards to share. Here are a few things I have been working on.

This is my Sketch This card from last week. I had a lot of fun with this sketch (#87) and the supplies from the May CMK card kit. Love this mix of goodies!

Next are a couple of cards I made using a fun, little die-cut paper flowers book/pack by K & Company that I found at Michaels. I am in LOVE with these wonderful flowers. I just can't get enough of them! I am sure you will be seeing more of these little babies on future projects.

Lastly is a card I made using some beautiful self-adhesive crystals by Zva Creative. So lovely and elegant. Very easy to work with too.

Well, I will leave you all with that tonight. Hopefully I will get a chance to play in my scrap room some more this week and have some more to share soon. Hope you all have a wonderful week, and thanks for stopping by!

Last year...

I forget exactly when, I was asked by my friend Nancy to make some cards for a Dutch publication, Cards Only. I was very excited to be asked, and I jumped at the chance. Well, yesterday I received my copy of the May/June 2009 issue. I had a little spotlight article as one of their guest designers with a little bio and photo of myself , along with six of my cards. Very fun to see myself in print. Now... I can't read a single word as the magazine is all in Dutch, but it is filled with so many gorgeous cards. I don't really need to know what they are saying to be inspired, now do I! ;) If you ever get a chance to get your hands on a copy of this magazine, you will not be disappointed.

Here are the cards I made. Hope you enjoy!
The first card is a fun little button flower card. Lots of Pink Paislee and K & Company goodness here. You can never go wrong with buttons and flowers.
Second is fun little card I did using Cosmo Cricket Be Happy Blackboard car. I think this one is my favorite of the bunch. It just makes me happy!
Next is monogram card using Creative Cafe goodies, and I cut the flower with my Cricut and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I love the mix of colors on this.
Next is a cute little owl card using a mix of products. Very sparkly and shiny IRL.
This Celebrate card has lots of products mixed together too. Very bright and festive.
Lastly is a card using Glitz Design paper and my favorite Maya Road chipboard frames. They make wonderful flowers.
I never do post the supply lists with my cards on here. I really should, but sometime they can be pretty time consuming to type out. If you ever wonder what products I use just shoot me an email, and I would be happy to let you know.
Well, that is it for me tonight. Hope I didn't overload you all. Hope you are having a good week so far. Thanks for stopping by!

A few projects to share...

I am coming off of a busy week last week, so I totally forgot about my blog. I love to share my work, but I am totally terrible at keeping up with this thing. I was never one to journal as a kid (or as an adult), and that really is what blogging is all about. So I am pretty bad at it. Sorry about that.

My first project to share is one that I did for Pink Paislee. (I don't think I said anything here, but I was recently asked to join the Pink Paislee DT. :) Very exciting stuff, huh!?! I love Pink Paislee products, so there was not one bit of hesitation to say YES!!!)

I purchased the little paper mache house at Michaels, and decorated it with lots of Pink Paislee product.

(If you check out my blog post over at the Pink Paislee blog, you can find out which products I used.)

My next project is a card, my take on sketch #86 over at the Sketch This blog.

I had lots of fun with color here, if you didn't already notice. ;) Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team did. So many gorgeous takes on the sketch, for sure!

Well, that is it for me today. It is pretty rainy here, so I think I will spend the day scrapping. ;) Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
