I'm back!

I bet you all were wondering where I was, huh? ;) It seems like I haven't posted in quite a while. Well, the kids and I went to visit my hubby in Charleston, SC (he is working there for a bit). We had a fun time, but we didn't get to do all the sightseeing I wanted to do. It was so hot, and by the time we walked through the market and over to the one of the piers on the water, the kids were just miserable, which was making my husband and I miserable. So we gave up on our walking tour and opted for indoor entertainment. We had some ice cream at a local restaurant and checked out the South Carolina Aquarium. That was pretty fun. We also went to a local water park one day and had a blast! Nothing like playing in the water on a hot day. We hope to do some sightseeing in the fall when it cools down. We will see how that goes.

I am going to direct you all over to the Magistical Memories blog. They have just released some really cool chipboard shapes and albums. They are showing everything new and if you leave a comment telling them your favorite new Magistical Memories product and how you would use it, you will have a chance to win the entire release. Wow! What could be better than that! :) Just make sure to leave your comment before August 8th. ;)

I will leave you with a some projects that I made for Creative Cafe using some new products and AccuCut dies. The projects are Christmas-themed. I hope you don't mind. Maybe they with help give you some cool thoughts for these hot summer days.

It's hard to tell in the photos, but I used Creative Cafe's glitter glue (Awesome stuff!) on the ornaments, so they are really sparkly. Wish I got some better shots of that.

Well, hope you all have a great night. Sleep tight!

The gallery...

is up! I can finally show you my July Lime Tart projects. ;) I had a lot of fun working with the July A La Tart kit this month. Lots of fun colors and patterns in the Daisy D's Wonder Years papers. Also, some wonderful Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet stamps designed by Teresa Abajo.

For the first card, I used the Teresa's Frame stamp to make this fun li'l monster. Not sure how I saw a li'l monster in that stamped image, but I did. :)

Next, I used the Teresa's Banner stamp to make a happy birthday card.

The next project is a little bank to save my pennies in. I was inspired by the clouds and stitching in the patterned papers to make this project.

Lastly is a just a happy hello card. I used the Teresa's Banner stamp to make the little butterfly.

I will have a Step-by-Step project using the July A La Tarte kit coming up in a couple of weeks on the Lime Tart Zest Blog. I will be sure to link you up when it is ready.

You can purchase the Lime Tart kits (Full Tart, Half Tart, and A La Tarte) from Just Johann's Odd Bird Planet (in the US) or from Lime Tart (in Australia).

And, don't forget to check out the rest of the design team's amazing projects in the Lime Tart gallery and on the Zest Blog. Total eye candy!

Hope you all have a happy Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by!

More Tinkering Ink

I am back with some more NEW Tinkering Ink projects. I forgot to post yesterday, so there is alot to look at today. :)

The first three projects are from the new Beau Jardin Collection. If you like butterflies, you are going to love this line! The first project is a little mini album. The butterfly Peek-a-Boo album is by Tinkering Ink also. It is a mix of chipboard and acrylic. So fun to work with. If you would like to see more of it, I have it uploaded in my Two Peas gallery here.

Next is a little tag and gift box set. The clear tag and floral rub-on are also by Tinkering Ink. I have found that scrapbooking supplies are perfect for packaging up small gifts.

Next, still using the Beau Jardin line, is a card I made. Since I prefer making smaller projects, sometimes I have a hard time using larger prints. This card is a perfect example, though, of using a larger print on a smaller project. The butterfly took a little bit of work to cut out, but I think the end result was well worth it. But, there is good news! Tinkering Ink's new paper lines offer a large print on one side and a similar smaller print on the back. A perfect mix for scrapbookers and cardmakers.

Now, for the new Retro Metro Collection. I just LOVE the colors and patternes in the line. So fun!

First is an all-occasion card. Again, I cut out some larger prints to use on a smaller project.

Another card. Can't go wrong with circle and stripes. ;)

For this bookmark, I used an some Tinkering Ink rub-ons and an acrylic tag from the Peek-a-Boo Pieces collection, a mix of chipboard and acrylic shapes. Lots of hand-cutting here too. Love the effect though.

Be sure to check out the Tinkering Ink blog and gallery for more beautiful projects by the design team. You will not be disappointed. I promise!

Well, I hope you're not too Tinkered out. ;) Hope you all have a great rest of the week. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I can share my news!

I have been asked to join the Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet design team to work with Lime Tart kits! Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet has recently teamed up with Australian-based Lime Tart, and now you can purchase Lime Tart kits in the US. Yay!!! There are three different kits to choose from: the Full Tart, the Half Tart, and the A La Tarte. You can view them here. All very beautiful kits. You won't be disappointed! :) I'll be sure to post my projects when they go up on the site.

In other news, how about we have a little Christmas in July? With Summer CHA just around the corner, Tinkering Ink is releasing a new holiday line, Yuletide 2, which coordinates with its existing holiday line, Yuletide. Both collections are beautiful and will be perfect for all of those holiday layouts, cards, and projects that you have on your to-do list. Here is a card I made using a combination of both lines.

You can see more Yuletide projects by the rest of the design team on the Tinkering Ink blog and in the gallery. Definitely a must see! And be sure to check back during the week to see more new-release projects.
Hope you all are having a great start to the week. Thanks for stopping by!
