Daylight

Hey everyone! Just stopping by to share some projects I have been creating for Scraptastic Club. I received the Daylight Kit and Add-on this month, and they are absolutely wonderful! If you don't believe me, just see for yourself:

 Daylight Kit

 Daylight Add-on

They are jam-packed with scrappy goodness, and don't the colors make you happy?! They sure do make me happy!

So on to what I have been creating. First up, Lucky You:

As soon as I saw the Jillibean Soup Sunshine Sugar Picks from the Add-on, I knew I wanted to make some flowers.

I just love how they turned out!

Next, Lucky Me:

I went with the "lucky" theme of the kit and created this fun, four leaf clover shaped card.

I also created some birthday-themed projects.

Here is a Happy Day tag:

It's just perfect for a gift bag or box.

Lastly, Oh Happy Happy Happy Day straw:

I just love creating little altered items like this. You can add it to a special birthday drink or snip the end and add it to a cupcake for a festive topper.

I will be back later to share more of my Daylight creations. Until then, thanks so much for stopping by!

Fly a Kite and May Kits Sneaks

Hey everyone! I have been at it again, playing with Scraptastic Club's April Worth Wondering Kit and Add-on. Today's card was totally inspired by the American Crafts DIY Shop burlap bows in the add-on.

As soon as I saw the bows, I knew they would be perfect for the tail of a kite. I die cut the kite (and clouds), added a little stitching and then added a Teresa Collins Butterfly Sticker and My Mind's Eye Hello enamel heart to the top of the kite.

And I added those darling burlap bow to the string of the kite and finished the card with a sweet Girl Talk Snap Caps sentiment from October Afternoon.

Perfect for spring, don't you think?!

Now, for the Scraptastic Club May Sneaks!

A Stamping Challenge

Hey everyone! Lea Lawson and I have a challenge for you up on the Scraptastic Club blog today: Create a Miss You card using stamps from one of the April Scraptastic Club kits.

I don't consider myself a stamper, so it really was a challenge for me. ;) I kept the stamping simple and added a sentiment from the Let Me Go stamp set to one of the Evalicious Snip Labels in the Worth Wondering Add-on, and then layered it onto products from the Worth Wondering Kit and Add-on.

Don't you just love that sentiment?!

You can check out Lea's take on the challenge HERE.

Hope you get a chance to play along. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Banner Love

Hey, everyone! I thought I would stop by and share some recent projects with you.

This month, Scraptastic Club has put together some truly amazing kits. I received the Worth Wondering kit and add-on to work with, and I have to say I am in love! The kits are filled with some amazing product, and I was instantly inspired by the pennants and banners in the kit. With them, I created two cards.

First up, Forever and Always:

I stitched across the top a few of the Teresa Collins Daily Stories pennant stickers and a one of the October Afternoon Girl Talk Snap Caps to create a banner as an accent along the top of my card.

I finished the card by adding a couple of Cork Butterflies and enamel hearts, a die cut, and a sentiment sticker along the bottom.

Next, Crazy in Love:

For this card, I made the banner the focal point of my card. I strung together a couple of the Cork Banners, the "Crazy in Love" die cut, a Teresa Collins Daily Stories ticket sticker and an Evalicious Puffy Sticker on a length of navy baker's twine, then added a few embellishments to the banners.

I love the fact that the pieces of the banner are different sizes and shapes. It gives a unique, one-of-a-kind look.

You can see my cards HERE on the Scraptastic Club blog and while you're there, make sure to check out what the rest of the design is up to using this month's kits.

Scraptastic Club: two more Lost in My Mind cards and April sneaks!

Hey everyone! Just stopping by to share two more cards using Scraptastic Club's Lost in My Mind Kit and Add-on.

First up, a fun little card using one of the exclusive wood veneer pieces in the kit:

The colors in this kit are just so amazing and it is filled with such fun embellishments.

For the second card, I immediately saw balloons when I pulled out the American Crafts DIY Shop Chalkboard Speech Bubbles in the add-on. So of course, I went in a birthday direction:

These kits are so jam-packed with product that I still have embellishments I haven't gotten to yet. (I need to get working!)

Now, it is time for the April sneaks. You are going to LOVE these kits!!!

Pinterest Inspiration

Hey everyone! Just stopping by today to share another project.

Today is my day on the Scraptastic Club blog and it is Pinterest Monday. Pinterest is the best place to search for inspiration and while searching for some, I found this fun print:

I love the mix of colors and shapes in this print, and it inspired me to create this card:

You know I love to make flowers, so I created a pie chart for the center of one. The colors and patterns in the Lost in My Mind Kit and Add-on really work well together, so it was so easy to put together.

The perfect use for your leftover paper scraps, don't you think?

You can check out my original post on the Scraptastic Club blog HERE and if you're not too busy, check out stick what the rest of the design team is creating with this month's kits.

If you don't believe me, just take a look for yourself. I was sent the new Sweet Routine collection by Adrienne Looman, and it is just GORGEOUS!!! The colors, patterns, and embellishments are pure perfection, and I had such a great time working with them.

I created a layout and four cards using this fabulous new line:

October Afternoon Sketch

Hey everyone! Today is my day on the October Afternoon blog and I created a sketch for today's post:

I decided to make a card using the sketch:

I stayed pretty true the sketch, substituting the "Hello!" card in place of the photo, the Snap Cap in place of the journaling, and adding a few buttons in place of the stars.

I used the Daily Flash collection (in particular, All Boy and Girl Talk) for the papers, along with buttons from the 9 to 5 collection.

Alex Gadji played along with my sketch this week, and you can see here amazing layout HERE.

Let's Make Today Something

Hey everyone! Just stopping by quick to share a card I created using the new March Lost in My Mind Kit and Add-on from Scraptastic Club.

I hand cut some flower stems from patterned paper and cut some flowers using my Cricut Expression® 2 and  Kate's ABCs cartridge to create the flowers on the card.

I just love the black and white against the bright colors. It makes the flowers just pop.

There are a few more of these KITS left, so don't wait too long or you will miss out on a fantastic mix of products.

Pinterest Monday

Hey everyone! Today is Pinterest Monday on the Scraptastic Club blog and I chose a fun, colorful print as inspiration:

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/214061788512878041/

I was totally inspired by the triangles and colors, so I wanted to create a similar background for a card using patterned paper and cardstock from the March Lost in My Mind Kit and Add-on. Here is what I came up with:

I cut out a bunch of little triangles and adhered them in rows at a bit of an angle, and in no particular pattern, across the card front.

I added a small cluster of embellishments along the top of the card (because I didn't want to hide this beautiful pattern), and I finished it off with a little bit of pink baker's twine.

You can see the original post up on the Scraptastic Club blog HERE.

Hope you have found some inspiration from today's project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
