A House of Cards

You all should head on over to...

the Lime Tart gallery! All of the new projects are posted and the gallery is full of wonderful goodies by the design team. Get yourself drink and a snack and sit back and enjoy the view! ;)

Here are my projects using the September Half Tart.

First is a layout about my daughter, Grace. Loved this teal and purple color combo.

Next, I made a candy treat bag gift set. Who would want some yummy chocolate in a pretty little package?!

Next is a set of decorated wooden hangers for a baby's room. I got the hangers a long time ago in the Target dollar spot and have been waiting for right time to do something with them. This kit was just perfect for that.

Last, but not least, is a card using the Heidi Swapp crystals in the kit. Using the crystals was a bit of a challenge for me. When I first saw them, I just thought of them dangling or hanging off of something. But, I started pushing them around, put them in a circle, and I all of a sudden saw a flower. I added the stitching (when don't I nowadays ;) ) and voila!

So now I have a little challenge for you... if you have the Lime Tart September Half Tart kit, show me an unexpected way to use the crystals. If you don't have the kit, show me an unexpected way to use a non-scrapbooking item on a papercrafting project. You can choose the type of project. I'm not picky about stuff like that. Cards, layouts, altered items... I like 'em all. And now for the good stuff, if you take my challenge, link your project up here by Monday, Sept 22 and I will randomly choose a winner for a gift certificate to Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet Stamps (the US distributer for Lime Tart kits). Maybe I'll even throw in a fun, little box of goodies too. ;)

Hope you all have a great week. Happy creating!

We have had a fun couple of weeks...

NOT! The Sunday before Labor Day we were winding up the day, getting ready to rent a movie off of the iControl, and settle in for a nice quiet evening. My husband asked Harper to go put her scooter away, before it got too dark. Well, before you know it, I hear a child screaming outside (you know... the kind of scream where you can tell something is really wrong). Harper decided to ride her scooter down to the garage, started going too fast and wiped out. I guess she put hands out to break the fall, and in doing so, broke her wrist. So, now she is the owner of a very orange (almost fluorescent) cast on her right arm.

Kids... you just gotta love 'em! We have already been back for a check-up and everything seems to be healing OK. We go back next Friday, and we will see if the cast can come off in exchange for a brace. It is nice that kids heal so quickly.

Other than that, I have been trying to get over a cold that just doesn't want to go away. I have my husband to thank for that. Thanks, hon! ;) I guess it is just that time of year though, because I keep hearing about others being sick too. So if you have been, take it easy and get lots of rest!

In crafty news, I have been working on Lime Tart projects recently. I can't show you them just yet, but I can give you some sneak peeks. I don't think I will get in too much trouble for that. I hope not, anyway. I got to work with the September Half Tart. Here is a picture of the kit.

Lots of yummy goodness in this kit! It is so pretty and girly. I think my projects definitely have that sort of feel to them. Here are the sneaks:

The Full Tart and A La Tarte are full of wonderful goodies too. I can't wait to see what the other girls came up with this month! You can check out what the design team has been working on this month in the Lime Tart gallery on the 14th, or you can get a few sneaks over at the Lime Tart blog. If you like the kits, you can purchase them here in the US at Odd Bird Planet. Outside the US, you can purchase them from Lime Tart.

OK, it's time to go get the kids to bed (and maybe myself too ;) ). I think I've got you all linked up, so happy surfing! :)
