NEW October Afternoon

Hey everyone!  Hope everyone is doing well today.  I thought I would stop by today to share a few CHA projects I made for October Afternoon.

First off is a layout I made using the Boarding Pass collection.

The layout is about my daughter and her travel buddy.  She's not crazy about flying so having a buddy along helps.  ;)

I love the blues and greens in this collection, with the fun pops of red and yellow.

Next up is a layout using the new Farmhouse collection.

The colors in this collection are so pretty!  Lots of blues, greys, and yellows, with some pops of red and pink.

There is also an awesome wood ruler sheet that I used on this card.

The rich brown color is such a beautiful contrast to the soft blues and greys.  It is one of my favorite papers in the collection.

In case you didn't see yet, Lexi Bridges took a little tour through the October Afternoon booth and showcased the new collections on video here.  Enjoy!

That is it for me today.  I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

This collection has a summery, beach-y feel, but can definitely be used on more than just those types of projects.  And don't you just LOVE the colors in the collection!?!   Yellow seems to be one of my favorite colors to use lately.

Definitely not your everyday Halloween collection.  I can see a lot of these papers being used for non-Halloween related projects.  I bet all of you damask lovers will be in heaven with this collection.  ;)

Well, what did you think?  Anything in these collections a must-have for you?  If you are on your way to CHA, make sure to stop by the Pink Paislee booth to check everything out in person.  You won't be disappointed!

I hope you enjoyed all of the projects I shared with you today.  Hope you are having a great weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thursday Sketch with October Afternoon

Hey all!  How's it going?  Are any of you all getting ready for CHA?  It is right around the corner.  I've been busy working on some things.  I won't be going, but you might see some of my projects there.  :)

I thought I would come by to share a layout that I made for the October Afternoon blog using a sketch by Jill Sprott.

I think Jill had designed this sketch around two photos, but what I saw was one large photo with title across the center.  So I ran with that idea.  Here is what I came up with:

I took a photo of the view from my plane ride home from my recent vacation, and I thought it would go perfectly with the Boarding Pass collection.  I decided to push the title down a bit, so it didn't cover up the view in my photo.

I used the Shapes Stickers, Chip 'n Stick chipboard, Alpha Stickers, Mini Market Stickers, Label Stickers, and Tin Pins for the title border.

I also added a few buttons from the Schoolhouse collection.

I am totally loving the colors and patterns in this collection, along with all of the fun embellishments!

You can see the awesome layout Jill did with the sketch here at the OA blog.

Well, it is time for me to hit the hay.  But, I will be back soon to share some of my CHA projects with you.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Home...

Hey everyone!  It's been a while.  I just got back from vacation.  I had a wonderful trip back home to Pennsylvania to visit with my family for a week.  It was much needed, and I already miss them.  But it also feels good to be home here in Alabama and back into the swing of things.   I just wish both of my 'homes' were closer to each other.  ;)

Now that I am back, I wanted to share with you all a new collection from Pink Paislee, Mistables.

Mistables are high quality craft products that work perfectly with misting sprays and inks. You can convert these "blank surfaces" into a work of art by adding your own favorite colors.

These products were developed to accept misting sprays and paint mediums perfectly! They are great for scrapbooking, card making, general crafting, home decor and more!

When you combine our mistables product line with your favorite colors you will be inspired to create quick, stylish designs that are uniquely yours!

Here are some cards I created using this collection:

For all of the cards, I used a mix of Tattered Angels mists and ColorBox and StazOn inks.

I have to admit, I have never been much of a misting person.  But I can honestly say that this collection has changed that.  I had so much fun adding my favorite colors to these wonderful products.  There are resist papers, a resist chipboard alphabet, resist journal tags, muslin scallop ribbon, fabric pleat strips, muslin flowers, fuzzy stickers, a misting mask, and a wood album and shadowbox.  If you love to mist, ink, alter, etc, this collection is for you!

Well... I am still trying to recover from my trip, so that will be it for me tonight.  I hope you all have a wonderful evening.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
