A House of Cards

More Christmas projects...

to share. :)

I was recently asked to be a guest designer for Cut Card Stock this month. They sent me a box filled with some gorgeous metallic cardstock and cards. These products were very easy to use, and they cut and embossed beautifully with my Cricut Expression and Cuttlebug machines.

For my first project, I decorated a mini album in a tin. This could be sent to a loved one as a card and then used as a holiday decoration. For this project, I used the Amythest Stardream Metallic, Morphing Mauve Curious Iridescent, Plasma Blue Curious Iridescent, and Cyber Grey Curious Iridescent for the backgrounds, the Malachite Stardream Metallic for the background letters, the Anthracite Stardream Metallic for the snowman background, and the Cryogen White Curious Iridescent cardstock for the snowman and snowflakes.

For my next project, I created a holiday card and matching gift box. For this, I use the Anthracite Stardream Metallic for the card base and box, the Ruby Stardream Metallic for the hearts, the Emerald Stardream Metallic for the holly leaves, and the Cryogen White Curious Iridescent for the card background.

I made one more Cut Cardstock project, but I will be back to share that one later in the month.

Be sure to check out the Cut Card Stock blog too. You can find more wonderful projects by Norma Kennedy and December guest designer Linda Beeson.

Lastly, I wanted to share a little toot. :) This month, my cards are featured on the cover of the December issue of Cards magazine. I just love this magazine, so I was very excited when Alisha Gordon emailed me to ask if they could use my cards on the cover. Such a dream come true.

Thanks so much for sharing my excitement and for stopping by. Hugs!

Oh, Roree!! I was just in my lss about an hour ago. It was my first glimps at this issue of CARDS. I haven't gotten when in a while because of a 'dry pub' spell. When I saw this issue I almost bought it because I was drawn to the cards on the cover. They are just to die for. Then, to come to your blog and find out they're yours!! I shouldn't have been suprised!! HUGE CONGRATS to you!!

Love all your other projects you shared as well. You rocked the purple!

Hey Roree! Congrats on getting the cover.........to the best mag EVER! I love that publication! Sidenote - So I just starting blogging and getting into paper crafts (started last month). Hubby has looked over my shoulder once or twice, but listened to your music playlist this one time (songs before you Xmas list) and would log on to your site on his own! HA! LOL. Then he told me you had a new Xmas music playlist. Wow...who knew. Your blog bringing me (crafting) and hubby (music) together! Hee!
