A House of Cards

It's all about the challenge...

I had the opportunity to be the guest designer this week over at the Color Combos Galore challenge blog. What fun! I love color and I love a challenge, so I had to say yes (even though I had to make a layout ;) ). I got to choose two colors (the light blue and green), and then was given a selection of color combos. From that group, I got to choose one combo to work with. I decided on this one:

Color Combos Galore #97

For some reason, that pop of royal blue just caught my eye. I was a little nervous about it at first, but decided to challenge myself. I ended up really happy with my choice.

Make sure to check out what the CCG designers did with the color combo too. Tons of awesome inspiration! I hope you all get a chance to take the challenge too. :)

Next are my latest cards from the Sketch This blog. I just LOVE Janelle's sketches, and I am sure you will too. They always get my creative juices flowing.

Sketch This #74

Sketch This #75

Again, don't forget to check out the Sketch This design team came up with. I always love to see how everyone makes the sketch their own!

Well, in case I don't make it back before Thursday, I hope you all have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Try not to stuff yourselves too much. ;) Hugs!!!

Halloween is almost here...

but let's pull out the Christmas projects instead. ;)
These are some things I made recently for Provo Craft. Definitely gets me in the Christmas spirit.
For the wreath, I used the Joys of the Season cartridge. It is hard to tell from the photo, but everything is shimmery and sparkly. Lots of Bazzill Bling and glitter glue. Wish I could have captured that in the photo better.
Here are a couple of round gift bags/boxes. I used the Plantin SchoolBook, Accent Essentials, and Christmas Cheer cartridges for these. These are sparkly IRL too.

For this project, I was asked to make a gift wrap. All the ornament shapes are from the Christmas Cheer cartridge.

For this last one, I just made a simple box slide. Very quick and easy. I used the Accent Essentials and Christmas Cheer cartridges and the Charms die and Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug) for the tag.
Well, that's it for me today. Hope you all have a great week!

Happy Saturday!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. It is a beautiful day here in Alabama today. Sunny and 66 degrees. Can't beat that! We had a soccer game to go to this morning. The last one for the season. Yay! Don't get me wrong... I love for my kids to play sports, but I am glad for the break. 3 nights of practice a week and Saturday games take their toll. I can't wait to not have to be anywhere next week. ;)

I have a few projects to share today. I made all of these using Lime Tart's October A La Tarte. Such a fun kit, loaded full of scrappy goodness. Lots of Webster's Pages (might first time using this paper) and some super cute Odd Bird Planet Stamps (gotta love the cupcake!).

You can check out the Lime Tart gallery to see some of the wonderful projects the design team came up with this month. Always such a treat!
If you are interested in purchasing any of the Lime Tart kits, you can check Odd Bird Planet (the U.S. distributor) or Lime Tart (Australia).
Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
